For keepers of desert species, finding a substrate that balances natural aesthetics with safety is crucial. Composition and Ingredients

    • Main Ingredient: 100% Natural Limestone (Calcium Carbonate).

    Feeding and Care Guidance

    • Application: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of at least 2.5–5 cm (1–2”).
    • Cleaning: Spot-clean daily and completely replace every two or three weeks, or more frequently if it becomes heavily soiled or wet.
    • Humidity: Small areas of the substrate can be lightly sprayed to provide local humidity control, but avoid making the substrate too wet.
    • Heating Safety: If you are using an under-tank heat mat, do not use a thick layer of Calcium Sand as this may cause the heat mat to overheat. Refer to the heat mat manufacturer’s instructions.
