Bugalugs Calming Chews are a daily supplement chew made with a blend of calming ingredients including chamomile, valerian root, passion flower, ashwagandha and L-tryptophan. They are designed to help support relaxation and calmness in dogs during stressful situations, from Bonfire Night and thunderstorms to car journeys, groomer visits and trips to the vet.

Why We Rate This

Many dogs find loud noises, travel and unfamiliar places stressful, and a daily chew is an easy way to build calming support into your routine. We like that the full ingredient amounts are listed on the label, so you can see exactly what your dog is getting, and that the chews are simple to feed even to fussy eaters.

Helpful For

• Fireworks, thunderstorms and other loud noises
• Travel and trips to the vet or groomer
• Being left alone and changes to routine
• Everyday nervousness and unsettled behaviour

Every dog responds differently, so think of these chews as a gentle extra alongside training, routine and comfort rather than a fix. If your dog's anxiety, fear or problem behaviour is persistent or severe, please speak to your vet or a qualified behaviourist.

How to Use

• Follow the feeding guide on the tub and give the whole daily amount at once, not spread through the day.
• For best results, feed daily for a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks. If you are planning ahead for an event such as Bonfire Night, start well in advance.
• Give whole, or crumble over food or a lick mat if your dog is fussy.
• Always supervise while feeding and provide fresh drinking water.
• Not suitable for puppies under 4 months old.

Please Read Before Feeding

These chews contain active herbs and ingredients, so please check with your vet before use if your dog:

• Is on medication, particularly sedatives, anti-anxiety medicines or anything that affects serotonin
• Has a thyroid condition, or any other ongoing health condition
• Is pregnant or nursing
• Is due to have, or is recovering from, surgery or anaesthesia

Contains duck, milk (colostrum) and chamomile, so avoid if your dog has an allergy to any of these, including sensitivities to daisy-family plants.
