Its hygroscopic properties regulate terrarium humidity naturally by absorbing and slowly releasing moisture. The finely shredded pine bark particles stimulate natural digging and burrowing behaviour, letting reptiles shape firm nesting burrows similar to their shelters in the wild.

Directions for Use

Spread a 1-2" (3-5cm) layer of bark on the terrarium floor. Water or mist the substrate according to the humidity level required, using an Exo Terra Hygrometer to monitor levels. For well-ventilated terrariums or those with very high humidity requirements, place an Exo Terra terrarium substrate heater underneath. Spot clean daily, and completely replace with new bedding when necessary.
