Himalayan Cheese Dog Chews - Long Lasting Natural Chew

Pawfect Himalayan Cheese Chews are hard, long-lasting chews made using traditional Himalayan cheese-making methods from cow's milk. Grain-free, simply made and available in five flavours, they give your dog something satisfying to get their teeth into.

You may see similar chews sold as yak chews. Pawfect's are made with cow's milk, exactly as listed in the ingredients below.

Key Features

• Made from Himalayan Cheese: Traditional hard cheese chew made from cow's milk, which naturally contains protein and calcium.
• Long Lasting: A firm, durable texture keeps dogs busy and satisfies their natural urge to chew.
• Supports Oral Hygiene: The chewing action may help support clean teeth and fresher breath.
• Grain-Free: Made without grain or gluten ingredients.
• Simple Ingredients: Short ingredient lists with no artificial colours or flavours.
• Little Waste: When the chew gets too small, the end piece can be puffed in the microwave into a crunchy cheese treat.
• Five Flavours: Original, Mango, Cranberry, Peanut Butter & Banana and Calming.

Why We Rate This

Hard cheese chews are a popular natural alternative to rawhide and synthetic chews. They are slow to get through, free from grain and easy to find in a flavour your dog will enjoy. We like the short ingredient lists, and we have been upfront about what these are made from.

About the Calming Flavour

Calming contains passion flower, valerian root and lactium, ingredients often used in calming products for dogs. Every dog responds differently, so think of it as a gentle extra rather than a fix. If your dog's anxiety or problem behaviour is persistent, a chat with your vet or a qualified behaviourist is the best next step. As it contains active herbs, please check with your vet before giving it to dogs on medication, recovering from surgery, or pregnant or nursing.

Choosing the Right Size and Chewing Safely

• Pick a size that suits your dog's breed and mouth. The chew should be too big to swallow whole.
• Always supervise your dog while they chew.
• When the chew wears down to a small piece that could be swallowed whole, take it away.
• Turn the end piece into a puffed treat: Pop the small leftover piece in the microwave on high for around 45 to 60 seconds, watching it closely and never leaving the microwave unattended. It will puff up into a crunchy cheese treat. Timings vary between microwaves, so use short bursts and stop as soon as it has puffed. Let it cool completely before giving it to your dog, as puffed pieces stay hot inside, and supervise as usual.
• These chews are very hard, so they are not suitable for puppies or dogs with dental problems. Softer chews are a better choice for them.
• Contains milk. Not recommended for dogs with dairy sensitivities.
• Peanut Butter & Banana and Calming flavours contain peanut. Avoid them if your dog has a nut allergy.
• Fresh drinking water should always be available.
• Cranberry flavour contains activated charcoal, which can affect how some medicines are absorbed. Check with your vet if your dog is on medication.
