Trixie Scratching Board XXL (50 x 70cm) – Wall-Mounted Sisal Scratcher for Large Cats

Standard scratching posts often fall short for bigger cats, who need real length and surface area to scratch comfortably at full stretch. The Trixie Scratching Board XXL is specifically sized with larger cats in mind – a generous 50 x 70cm sisal scratching surface that gives them plenty of room to stretch, scratch, and mark properly.

Designed for wall mounting, with a fleece-covered back for a tidy finish, this board doubles as a genuinely effective way to protect the areas your cat would otherwise be tempted to scratch – walls, furniture, or door frames – by giving them a far more appealing, dedicated spot instead.

Why We Rate This

Sizing genuinely matters when it comes to scratching products, and a lot of standard posts simply aren’t built with larger cats in mind – leading to scratches creeping onto walls or furniture nearby because the available surface just isn’t enough. The XXL sizing here directly addresses that, giving bigger cats the kind of full-stretch scratching surface they actually need.

The wall-mounted format is also a smart choice for larger cats specifically – it provides a stable, fixed surface that won’t wobble or tip under a heavier cat’s weight, unlike some freestanding scratchers. A genuinely well-considered product for owners of bigger breeds.
